Jump To HIGHLIGHTS FULL REPORT Highlights An Air Force officer claimed additional travel and transportation allowances incident to his transfer from an overseas duty station to his new station in the United States. GAO held that: (1) the claimant was entitled to an allowance for travel between his designated port of debarkation and his new duty station; and (2) Air Force travel regulations barred reimbursement of the claimant's additional expenses to travel to a third location to pick up two personal automobiles and transport them to his new duty station. Accordingly, the claim for additional allowances was denied.
